Promis manufacturing software is an extremely popular manufacturing and Bill of Materials package from the UK which is now available in Australia. Promis manufacturing is suitable for small to medium manufacturers seeking a software solution that is fully integrated with an accounting package. Promis comes in a number of versions: BOM, Job Control, Batch Control or full manufacturing versions.
Promis Bill of Materials
Promis Bill of Materials is the ideal introduction to manufacturing software for the smaller business. The program is fully integrated with Sage Line 50 and uses the Sage product file - there is no re-keying of data for existing Sage users. There is no limit to the number of components which may be entered on a Bill of Materials, and no limit to the number of sub-assemblies or levels. There is a simple upgrade path from the Bill of Materials to Batch Controller or Promis Manufacturing.
In addition you can, if you wish, enter details of manufacturing operations including both labour and machine costs. Additional information may be entered for sub-contract, piece work and tooling costs. A powerful Trial Kitting facility instantly shows material, labour and machine requirements for any given quantity of a manufactured item and identifies shortages. There is even an automatic link to Sage's Purchase Order Processing enabling the raising of Purchase Orders at the click of a mouse button! The unique 'Product Information' utility allows an unlimited number of alternative suppliers for each stock item, along with lead times, cost prices and supplier part numbers.
Promis Job Controller
Promis Job Controller is designed for companies who operate within a jobbing environment - mainly producing 'one-offs' or non-repetitive batches. The system allows the production of Estimates which may include any number of stages eg, design, build, install etc. Each stage consists of Materials Costs (stock items and special purchases), Manufacturing Operations (including labour and machine processes) and user defined 'Other' expenses. Profitability of each individual job may be monitored continuously to enable full control of each job as it progresses.

Actuals v Estimate - Actual costs may be viewed against estimated costs using our unique spreadsheet style summary. Actuals exceeding Estimates are displayed in red. A 'drill down' facility enables details of individual actual cost entries to be instantly displayed.
Promis Batch Controller
Promis Batch Controller is an easy to use, affordable manufacturing package, fully integrated with Sage Line 50. The software has all the functionality needed to control materials, labour and machine costs in a busy manufacturing environment. Batch Controller will smoothly control production planning, works order processing and resource management, with full traceability for materials tracking.
